A place to learn a new language, the Koehler Method of Dog Training, which is an entire language of communication between owner(s) and their dog. Let their journey begin..
It was quite an unexpected class, grateful Jessi was present to work Loki. This session demonstrates again why we are sooooo careful about 'working the dog in front of you' as unexpected situations doshow up in mano seconds.
I loved that Jessi read Loki correctly and was able to, in the moment, immediately adjust the shaping of the Sit mechanics to teach Loki AND still avoid being bitten. The beauty of KMODT is there is a core curriculum of mechanics to use effectively. An experienced KMODT Instructor CAN adjust, as needed, those mechanics to accomplish the necessary training and remain safe. Yesterday was a very dicey lesson with Loki Jessi handled it flawlessly, effectively and calmly. 👏
Watching Jessi work a resistant dog is like seeing poetry in motion. What a tremendous learning moment for all present.
I am so thankful that I am with a group of people that can help with Loki, I know that he was a going to be difficulty dog however I was surprised at how difficulty.
