After talking to Roxanne on Monday she suggested that I break it up into 2 sessions. Even doing that it was a challenge for both Luna. The top video was in the morning before she was to tired and taking out some of the set stay, down for the 45 seconds the bottom one was at night when after a short time she is hot and tired. I think that I am over thinking it, and to much in my head, Luna is HOT for the most part.
Pass. Not pretty, nor perfect, nor polished, nor a performance. BUT, I am looking to see 1) Does the dog know what it is to do? 2) Does the owner know how to help their dog succeed?
The answer to # 1 & # 2 is yes. Other than your right hand tensing up, which messes up the 'J' loop needed to give the dog direction, Luna 'read' your mechanics and was working FOR you and WITH you. The AS is noticeably improved, the Sit/Stay and Down/Stays are fine (for Luna), the Recall is passing, and it was a joy watching the two of you 'work together' off-leash.
So, this IS a pass. Hearty congratulations Pat and Luna, you have both worked to achieve this milestone.
